2025 Farm Apprentice (Part-Time)
ARE YOU DRIVEN, HARDWORKING, AND HUNGRY TO GROW?
Do you want to be part of something meaningful? De La Mesa Farms is hiring a part-time seasonal Farm Apprentice for the 2025 season. We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to sweat, work with their hands, and build something real—together. This is an opportunity to learn regenerative, no-till market gardening that focuses on soil health from the founder and owner of De La Mesa Farms, with the possibility for more hours and long-term growth for the right person.
ABOUT OUR FARM
De La Mesa Farms is a Mexican-American owned 2-acre regenerative farm located just 15 minutes from downtown Tacoma. We farm by hand—no four-wheel tractors, no shortcuts—just simple tools, strong backs, and deep respect for the land. We grow a wide variety of crops including microgreens, salad greens, row crops, fruit, and greenhouse vegetables. We are committed to being good stewards of the land and think about farming as a way to preserve and perpetuate our own cultural heritage as well as the various native and cultural traditions in our community. Our mission is to offer fresh, culturally diverse and affordable produce.

We sell at multiple farmers markets, to local restaurants, school districts, and through our CSA program. As we head into 2025, we are also pursuing a long-time dream of bringing value-added farm products from our heirloom corn to the community. From masa to tortillas, cornmeal & more, we are intent on sharing and making heirloom corn accessible to our local communities.
